Technolgy description

A stand up pouch is a flexible packaging format designed to remain upright on the shelf thanks to its bottom gusset. This feature combines strong visual presence, logistics efficiency, and better space utilization compared to rigid packaging or flat flexible formats.

Its design can contain solid, granular, powder, liquid, or semi-liquid products, depending on the selected structure, sealing type, and required accessories. It can be developed with zipper, valve, spout, transparent window, tear notch, or special finishes according to the application.

It is one of the most versatile formats because it allows the structure, gauge, barrier, and visual presentation to be adapted to the needs of the product and the market.

Structure and materials

It is normally manufactured from laminated or coextruded structures, selected according to the product, expected shelf life, required resistance, and distribution conditions
